Originally built in 1920 as a public garage, 858 Yates changed hands until finally settling as a night club and live music venue in the 1970’s. Throughout its 40+ years and many monikers, it has hosted some of the greatest artists of the times. The beautifully maintained venue and professional staff create the perfect setting for any event.
The MRG Group took over operations of the Capital Ballroom in August of 2019, with the intention of curating content that residents from Victoria and Vancouver Island can be proud of. Our guests are music lovers from all genres and it is our goal to create a space where all feel welcome. With a heavy focus on service and fun we can ensure that our guests have a night they will never forget.
